Among an earnest desire to provide a quality product, quality control measures are consistent throughout all orders of process. Here are the steps:
The head of research—an entomologist from Khon Kaen University—in conference with other scientists, has selected farms and partnerships to ensure guidance in cricket rearing protocols . Our crickets are fed with a high quality multiple components flour, made for cricket rearing: fish meal, soybean meal/peanut meal/sunflower meal, corn meal/brokenmilled rice, rice bran, leucaena leaf meal, coconut meal, molasses, calcium carbonate/dicalcium phosphate, salt, vitamins, minerals, amino acid.
Crickets are cleaned a few times and boiled in clean water at the farm. They are then packed and placed in a cold storage. The cold chain is respected until received by the processing facility by private transport.
Upon arrival, crickets are kept in a freezer at 20°C until processing time. All crickets are then placed on stainless steel trays and put into the oven at 110°C, for desired dehydration and killing of potential residual bacteria. After dehydration, the crickets are ground into a fine grade powder.
The final cricket powder is vacuum sealed, allowing us to guarantee a shelflife up to one year from production date.
PRICE: Shipping is calculated based on destination and total weight—using USPS API.
PACKING: We vacuum seel all bags which allows us to deliver cricket flour with a shelf-life up to one year from production date.
